Duke Department of Family Medicin

Long hours, high clinical stakes, and challenging learning curves set the stage for difficult shame experiences during medical learning and practice. We are piloting a training program to establish the first-ever Shame Competent Department  in the Duke Department of Family Medicine & Community Health. The 1-year project will launch in Sep 2025 and is supported by a Josiah Macy Foundation President's Grant.
